The Kreze Leadership Conversations
In memory of my father, Frank Kreze, and the leaders he shaped.
This series is dedicated to my father, Frank Kreze — who spent his career helping people understand what leadership actually requires of them, and who lived that understanding more fully than anyone I have known.
He believed leadership was something you became, not something you were given. That it was earned in private — in the small decisions, the quiet pressures, the willingness to take responsibility for what others wouldn’t. He believed it was the work of a lifetime, and he treated it as such.
Over the course of his career, he influenced thousands of people. Most of them he never knew he had reached. Some of them are still leading today because of conversations they had with him decades ago. This series exists to carry that work forward.
My Father
A leader in the truest sense of the word
My father didn’t measure leadership in titles or organizations. He measured it in the people who reached out years later to tell him that something he said had stayed with them. The team member who became a CEO. The young professional who started their own company. The leader who finally had the difficult conversation they’d been avoiding for years.
He had an unusual ability to see what someone could become before they could see it themselves — and an equally unusual willingness to tell them the truth about what was standing in the way. He held people to a higher standard not by lecturing them, but by treating them as already capable of meeting it.
As his daughter, I watched him do this work for nearly four decades. As a clinician, I came to recognize how rare it was. This series is one attempt — incomplete, but earnest — to honor that legacy and ensure that the wisdom he carried doesn’t disappear with him.

A living archive of leadership formed in the real world
The Kreze Leadership Conversations is a developing series of filmed conversations with leaders whose journeys hold enduring value — people whose lives have been shaped by responsibility, pressure, mentorship, and the slow work of becoming someone others can trust with the weight of leadership.
These are not interviews about career highlights or strategic frameworks. They are conversations about the moments that quietly form leaders — the decisions made under uncertainty, the mentors who shaped them, the failures they carried, and the responsibility they came to accept.

The first conversations are currently being developed and recorded. This work moves slowly by design — these are not interviews to be produced quickly, but conversations to be held carefully.
If you knew my father, were shaped by his work, or have a leadership story you believe belongs in this archive, I would like to hear from you. This series will grow over time, and many of its conversations will come from the network of people he reached during his career.
